Rules for Participation and Personal Data Processing Vieira de Almeida & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SP R.L. (“VdA”) organizes the Webinar: Cyber Security Regulations and Satellite Communication Systems: An Analysis of Applicability and Impact – Report on ESA ARTES CYBERSAT Study in Zoom (the “event”). VdA with registered offices at Rua Dom Luís I, 28, 1200-151 Lisboa, Portugal, acts as data controller in respect of the processing of the participants’ personal data collected directly from the data subject. The participants’ personal data will be processed strictly to the extent required for the pursuit of VdA’s legitimate interests in connection with the event such as organizing, holding and managing the event, login and/or digital access as well as in connection to any necessary communications, notably to share any documentation prior or after the event. The processing is further based on the relationship established between VdA and the participants upon their agreement to the above rules. VdA will store the participants’ personal data strictly for as long as may be required to achieve its purpose, including any statutes of limitation and expiry deadlines in connection with any incidental rights, unless the law requires VdA to store the data for a longer period. The participants are entitled to request VdA to give them access to their personal data, as well as to request the data’s rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, pursuant to the applicable legislation, by sending an email to: privacy@vda.pt. Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial appeal to which they may be entitled, the participants may file a claim with the proper supervisory authority should they have cause to believe that their data are being processed by VdA in breach of the applicable legislation. It is also hereby informed that the event will be recorded and may come to be publicized both within VdA or to the public in general regardless of the format and by all known means and forms, in any media already existing or to be developed in the future. Any other entity directly linked to the organisation of the event will also be entitled to publicize the recording of the event both internally and to the public in general regardless of the format and by all known means and forms, in any media already existing or to be developed in the future. If you do not wish for your image and voice data to be captured and further processed as above mentioned, you should not turn on the camera and microphone during the session. You can always participate by asking questions through the available Zoom chat. If you turn on your camera and microphone, VdA – and any other entity directly linked to the organization of the event – will assume that you agree to the recording and further processing of your image and voice data during the session.
